Individual Therapy
Individual therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy, is a collaborative process between a therapist and a client that aims to explore and address emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.

Initial Assessment
The therapist and client start with an initial assessment session where they get to know each other. The therapist asks questions to understand the client's presenting concerns, personal history, current life circumstances, and goals for therapy. This helps in establishing a therapeutic alliance and creating a treatment plan tailored to the client's needs.
Establishing Goals
Based on the assessment, the therapist and client collaboratively set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for therapy. These goals serve as a roadmap for the therapeutic process and provide direction for the sessions.
Exploration and Insight
In subsequent sessions, the therapist creates a safe and supportive environment for the client to explore their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Through reflective listening, empathy, and insightful questioning, the therapist helps the client gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their life experiences.
Skill Building
Therapy often involves teaching clients coping skills and strategies to deal with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, communication issues, or other mental health concerns. These skills may include relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, problem-solving skills, mindfulness practices, and boundary-setting exercises.
Building Self Confidence
Therapists help clients cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. Through validation, positive reinforcement, and encouragement, clients learn to challenge negative self-perceptions, build self-esteem, and develop a greater sense of confidence and self-worth.
Monitoring Progress
Throughout the therapy process, the therapist and client regularly review progress towards the established goals. Adjustments to the treatment plan may be made based on the client's evolving needs and progress.

Wings of Hope is a bereavement and wellness organisation under WOPI – Women of Purpose International CIC. We walk alongside people who are experiencing loss — whether through the death of a loved one, relationship breakdown, job loss, or identity crisis. Our aim is to bring healing, comfort, and renewed purpose through counselling, wellbeing programmes, education, and community support.
Our services are open to everyone — men, women, young people, and children — regardless of race, faith, culture, or background. We are an inclusive and multicultural community that values diversity, compassion, and mutual respect.
We offer a wide range of services including individual and family counselling, addiction recovery support, workshops on mental wellness and resilience, wellness activities, and community engagement sessions. We also run the Wings Hub, a safe space where people can connect, share, and grow together
The Wings Hub is our welcoming community space — a home away from home. It’s where individuals and families come together for coffee mornings, group sessions, discussions, sports, and relaxation activities. The Hub fosters healing through connection, laughter, and shared experiences.
You can participate by attending our weekly support sessions, monthly workshops, and community gatherings at Wings Hub or online. You can also register through our website or contact us directly via phone or email to find the right programme for you.
Yes, we offer a variety of online counselling sessions, virtual workshops, support groups, and training programmes. This allows people from different locations and backgrounds to access our services and find healing — no matter where they are in the world.
Volunteering is at the heart of our mission. You can volunteer to support counselling sessions, organise community events, assist at the Hub, or become a peer mentor. It’s a great way to give back, grow in compassion, and make a difference in someone’s healing journey.
